Heat Exchanger
Sometimes I feel so angry
that my body feels on fire...
...funny thing is that I have
no one to be angry towards!
The pain is in the belly
and passes through the heart
like a dark ghost passing over the sun
released through the mouth
in the form of back smoke and soot.
But there's bliss on the underside
and joyful space becomes apparent
in this spontaneous exorcismic ritual.
Sadhana generates heat
and the heat can be labelled as anger.
It has a specific function
to carry along and burn away
limitations and contractions
as it currents pass through the body mind
To simply stand there and watch
this process do its magical work
is to recognize the power of awareness,
standing pat,
not jumping to conclusions,
not blaming others,
letting whatever happens happen...
...so many moods of bright and dark,
like the landscape from a moving train,
they come and go
and what's really important,
though beyond words, remains.
