Homage to Gasho

Quietude of the body-mind
matches the silence of the sky,
Attention resting at its root
in the boundless, centerless heart
of fundamental awareness.

Forms still appear, but sans hooks
of attachment, aversion, fascinations
as all dilemmas resolve.

Self-sense and hard edges dissolve
into a unifying field of utter simplicity,
Trees sway in the breezes,
insects go about their business,
no one hoping and fearing,
simply being simple Being.
