Phil's Mondo India Slide Show
Sights of Kochin

Flying out of Bombay, I stopped at Bangalore for several days. Didn't take any worthwhile pictures in Bangalore, but I did take a trip to Sai Baba's Asharam in Puttiparthi, a three hours drive from Bangalore (the gorey details are in my Travelogue). After Bangalore, it was a small plane ride to deep Southwestern India, to the town of Kochin in the beautiful state of Kerala.

This is the seat of the state legislature of the state of Karnataka in Bangalore, called the Vidhana Souda. It was build in 1954.

This is an especially ornate example of Southern Indian temple architecture. It appears to have most of the major god and goddess pantheon covered.
