Sights of Sarnath, near Varanasi
The multitude of Buddhists at Sarnath represented just about every corner of the world, and Tibetans Buddhists were a large contingent. Here are three young men making a political statement which I heartily endorse. |

The saris of Indian women were particularly colorful, and I would have taken a few more pictures of women, but it felt a little weird, especially considering the separation of the sexes in India in general. But here is a parade of saris - I don't know where they're going, but notice that some of the women aren't wearing shoes, and believe me, that pavement is hot! |
