Scenes from Mirik, India
|
Our final pilgrimmage was to a small town called Mirik, where the monastery of Bokar
Rinpoche is located. Bokar has been the head of the Karma-Kagyu lineage since the death
of Kalu Rinpoche.
The reason for all the flags in town is because on the day we arrived, one of the big events
in the history of India was occurring: a World Cup cricket match between India and Australia. The entire
town, as well as the rest of the country, was insane.

|
In spite of the world cup insanity, Mirik is a quiet little village in the hills of
West Bengal, India.
