Phil's All Embracing Bhutan Slide Show
Returning to Western Bhutan
After several days in Bumthang (the furthest point east we were to reach in Bhutan), we headed
back to Punakha in a somewhat bumpy ride of 12 hours over mountain roads. Of course, we were
travelling in luxury in contrast to the "Vomit Comet" busses that transfers the locals.
|
After a few hours of driving, we stopped at Yotang La Pass to stretch our legs and enjoy
the view. It appears that all the high mountain passes in Bhutan are decorated with prayer
flags.
