Just to the left of the temple is a string of prayer flags well over a hundred feet long above a 3000 foot drop. We figured that someone must have shot a line with a bow and arrow to get the flags strung across the threshold. |

This view has been depicted in National Geographic magazine, a famous shot. This spot is the closest that non-Buddhists can come near the temple. However, we had the permits to go inside the main temple hall. |
